Hilton Head Island Airport is 5 minutes from the Ferry Embarkation Center, and is served by US Airways with non-stop service to Charlotte and Washington DC-Reagan National.

Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport is 40 minutes from the Ferry Embarkation Center and is served by:

• AirTran with non-stop service to Atlanta
• Continental Express with non-stop service to Newark and Houston
• Delta with non-stop service to Atlanta, Cincinnati, and New York-LaGuardia
• Northwest with non-stop service to Detroit, Minneapolis and Memphis
• United with non-stop service to Chicago and Washington DC-Dulles
• US Airways with non-stop service to Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Boston and Washington DC.

Ground Transportation

By Car to the Ferry Embarkation Center on Hilton Head Island, SC:

• from Interstate 95 (north or south): exit on SC Exit 8, which is 8 miles north of the South Carolina-Georgia border.  Take US 278 East to Hilton Head Island.  The Embarkation Center is 19 miles from I-95.
• from Atlanta (approximately 270 miles):  take I-75 South to Macon, then take I-16 East to Savannah, then take I-95 North.  Exit on SC Exit 8, and take US 278 East to Hilton Head Island.
• from Charlotte (approximately 245 miles): take I-77 South to Columbia, then take I-26 East to I-95, then take I-95 South.  Exit on SC Exit 8, and take US 278 East to Hilton Head Island.
